Buena Vista Adventure Combo

Located a two hour drive from Tamarindo Buena Vista Lodge is beautiful cattle hacienda turned into a mountain lodge nestled at the foothills of the impressive Rincon de la Vieja Volcano, surrounded by an impressive and lush rain forest that also features some of the most amazing views of the pacific northwest of the country.

On this Costa Rica Tour we will take you on an exhilarating canopy tour (ziplines) through this magnificent transitional rain forest where you can see monkeys, toucans among some other animals typical of this forest.

On our next activity you can enjoy the impressive views over the cattle plains of the province of Guanacaste riding a horse where the cows graze and hike to a refreshing waterfall. Afterwards we take you to the natural hot springs, where you can relax in our sauna, enjoy a volcanic mud bath or one of the many thermal pools on the premises.

If you need a little bit more of adrenaline you can slide on a 400mts long semi-natural water slide before you go have a buffet style Costa Rican typical lunch.

Guachipelin One Day Adventure

Hacienda Guachipelin is a former cattle farm transformed into a modern adventure center. Our Costa Rica tour begins with a beautiful horseback riding tour that will take you through a tropical dry forest where you can see a great variety of birds, mammals, reptiles, etc.

After the horseback riding we get ready for the tubing adventure. Our guides will give you a short safety briefing before you start your downstream river float on inner tubes. Your adrenaline will kick in as you navigate through the rapids of the crystal clear Río Negro River. After we are done with playing in the river we head back to the Hacienda where a very tasty typical Costa Rican lunch will be waiting for you.
After lunch the adventure continues as we go zip lining! Again our guides will give you a safety briefing we head out to the first platform from where we launch ourselves over treetops and through a very impressive canyon that was sculpted by lava and pyroclastic flows millions of years ago.

This canopy tour also includes rappelling, rock climbing, Tarzan swings, via ferrata and hanging bridges.

The last and most relaxing part of this day is the visit to the natural hot springs mud treatment. You’ll find seven pools with thermal waters originated from the volcanic hot springs, crystal clear and all natural from the source nearby, refilling the pools all the time with fresh water.

Canon De La Vieja Combo

 Located one hour and thirty minutes away from Tamarindo. We start our Costa Rica Tour with a world class Canopy tour (ziplines) that includes rappelling, rock climbing and it takes us through an impressive canyon formed by the lava flows of the last great eruption by the Rincon de la Vieja volcano, then we continue the adventure with a horseback ride through a deciduous forest and farmlands where you can see monkeys, birds and some of the local wildlife.

After, we head to the Colorado River where we embark on an exhilarating, adrenaline filled and refreshing two hour tubing ride on a class II & III rapids; once we are done playing in the river we head to our restaurant overlooking the river where you will enjoy a delicious Costa Rican style lunch. The rest of the afternoon you will spend it at the hot springs pools located by river where if you prefer, you can swim and jump off the rock into it, either way the fun is guaranteed.


Monteverde One Day

 The town of Monteverde is located approximately 4 hours away from Tamarindo and no visit to Costa Rica is complete without visiting this beautiful tropical cloud forest. Settled first by Indigenous peoples, later by small numbers of Costa Ricans, and finally by Quakers in the 1950´s, Monteverde has justifiably garnered worldwide attention as a premier destination for naturalist travelers. Located in the Tilaran Mountain range of Puntarenas Province, the area above the local communities features an unusual type of rainforest protected in a private reserve open to the public. Known as a cloud forest due to frequent cover by clouds along the upper reaches of this mountain forest, the vegetation is unusually lush and characterized by massive trees covered by small plants including mosses, ferns, bromeliads and orchids. This forest reserve is also the site of much international research on tropical ecosystems.

Walking through this beautiful forest, you get a sense of peace and wonder, it also makes you realize how marvelous nature can be and how extremely sensitive this environment is. This forest is home to the beautiful Quetzal bird which is considered one of the most beautiful in the world.

The Canopy Tour (Zip Lines) is considered one of the best in the whole country and it will sure deliver plenty of excitement to your day. Once we are done with zip lining we take a hike through the cloud forest to gives us a chance to observe grandiosity of mother nature through a system of Hanging Bridges that overlooks at the mountains and the forest in its totality, by this time you will have worked up an appetite and lunch will be served thereafter.

After lunch, enjoy a relaxing walk through the butterfly garden where you can see all stages in the life of a butterfly meanwhile they freely fly around you, the most impressive one being the Blue Morpho a species native to Central America.

One of the most impressive visits is the one to the humming bird area where you can get to see hundreds of those very delicate and beautiful birds feeding up close Around 3 pm we will take you to visit a local coffee farm where you will be shown the whole process of making coffee, from growing it to brewing it.
And of course you get to sit down to enjoy a real cup of coffee!


Arenal Volcano One Day

Arenal is the most iconic volcano in Costa Rica and certainly one of the most beautiful areas this country has to offer. Our tour begins with a scenic drive around the largest lake in Costa Rica which will take you through lovely mountains and colorful countryside at the bottom of this active volcano. Our tour includes a magnificent hike through an area of the volcano where in 1968 its largest eruption occurred and you can still observe where the lava and pyroclastic flow changed the landscape of the area mixed with some amazing views of this beautiful and lush rain forest. Feel part of the jungle walking through the forest at the base of this perfectly conical shaped volcano. This day will be topped off by a visit to thermal hot springs where the mineral waters are famous for their therapeutic properties to treat arthritis, skin allergies and of course …..Stress!!


Rincon De La Vieja Hike

Come and join us on a beautiful hike through the Rincon de la Vieja Volcano National Park. This guided hike will take us along the Pailas Trail which runs along a river bed rich in wildlife such as howler monkeys, white faced monkeys, Coatis, Toucans, etc…

We will get a chance to observe volcanic activities for example the famous fumaroles, mud pot and steam geysers. We will also cross small streams where you will have the chance refresh yourself or you can swim by a beautiful waterfall. Upon returning to the beginning of our hike. We will then take a small hike down the Colorado River, till we arrive at the impressive 82 feet tall Oropendola waterfall. Here you will relax for about an hour enjoying the crystal clear waters, swimming and jumping off the edges of this magnificent waterfall. After playing in the water and having worked an appetite, we will be able enjoy a delicious Costa Rican Style lunch.

To end this marvelous day we will go relax in the natural hot springs of the nearby Caño Negro River where you will spend the next hour and half, surrounded by nature and enjoying the magical beauty of this place. Make sure to lather up the volcanic mud, which its medical properties will make you feel rejuvenated.


Palo Verde National Park

Palo Verde National Park, is the largest wetlands in Central America and home to over 200 species of migratory birds among other fauna such as Crocodiles, two species of monkeys, iguanas, bats, etc… Its importance is such, that it was added to the world patrimonial list of Ramsar. A one hour and half drive from Tamarindo and a two hour boat ride will take you to the riverbanks and to river’s edge where often white faced monkeys will approach the boat and where you can observe a large number of North American wintering birds that have come here to flee the cold weather. If you are a bird and nature lover, this is the tour for you. Once we get off the boat you will be served a delicious Costa Rican dish prepared on a traditional wood stove where you can see the way the native people of the area cooked their meals.

We offer the option to participate in demonstration of pottery making the traditional legacy left by our ancestors the Chorotega Indians whom we owe all of our traditions. You will have the opportunity to purchase the handcrafted pottery and therewith support the local artisans.

Jungle River Float

Our journey begins in the gardens of the Corobicí River, where our headquarters are located. This river float lasts about 2 hours. . You also have the option to do some paddling, if you prefer, or you can let your guide take you down the river while you relax and enjoy the emerald forest and exotic fauna.
