Casa De Luz

We traveled with six adults and six kids and had a great time at Casa de Luz. The house has a beautiful pool with easy access and views of the beach and sunset. Our group had plenty of room to spread out over the property. The house location was perfectly placed in Playa Langosta with easy access to Tamarindo via golf cart. Rafa our concierge took care of EVERYTHING. Rafa was truly fantastic, and we would highly recommend this property and asking form him to help with your vacation. He made everything at the house seamless, including transportation to & from the airport, golf carts delivered to the house, grocery delivery, meals prepared at the house (including freshly caught mahi-mahi that he also helped book the offshore charter), coordinating with the pool and cleaning staff, zip line tours, etc. We look forward to returning soon!

Our group really enjoyed our stay at the beautiful, spacious and well appointed, Casa de Luz. The home provided the right amount of privacy and connectedness. The kids loved the bunkroom and the couples were happy to have en-suite bathrooms/bedrooms with spacious closets. The grounds are stunning and the outdoor spaces were perfect for socializing, having morning coffees/afternoon cocktails while listening to the waves crashing against the beach. The beach itself is not great for swimming, but excellent for exploring the tide pools and just chilling. We could walk in either direction and access swimmable beaches. The end-to-end service from the US based booking team through to the on site concierge service (thank you Rafa!) ensured that all of our needs from transportation through to tours, kayaking and surfing lessons were taken care of. Rafa also helped us book golf carts (highlight of the trip for the teens and young adults) which were so much more convenient to get around to beaches, shopping, etc than driving. Our house mom arrived early everyday, prepared breakfast for our large group and kept the house tidy and clean. I also highly recommend hiring Patricia to cook evening meals. Delicious food, she does all of the shopping and prepares multi course meals that included delicious desserts (cheesecake, flan, chocolate birthday cake!). A perfect vacation and vacation home.

We had so much fun at Casa de Luz! The house was clean and plenty of room for our group of 4 families. The location was great right on the beach, nice pool, good snorkeling out front, short walk to surfing. Rafa was great with helping us get golf carts, airport transfers, groceries, chef, excursions etc. I highly recommend renting this house for a fun and memorable vacation in beautiful Costa Rica!!

Casa De Luz is breathtaking, plain and simple. The house is beautiful inside and out. It is roomy, spacious, well designed, and could not be in a more perfect location. Right on the beach/ocean with front row seats to sunsets every evening, this house checks every single box. Plenty of bedrooms, beds, and bathrooms for our group of 14 (8 adults, 6 teenagers). The kitchen is large and well-equipped. The views out the back of the house, from the back porch, and from the infinity pool are unparalleled. Security is great, as are the house staff and the concierge. The concierge is very responsive and helpful with not only recommendations, but also arranging activities, reservations, and everything in between.

We came to Casa De Luz not knowing what to expect as majority of our group (of 17) had never been to Costa Rica. Everyone in our group was pleasantly surprised with the abundance of activities in the area including: fishing, exploring, zip lining, spa day, catamaran ride's and countless restaurants & bars to choose from. The staff was excellent with numerous recommendations, accommodations & upmost customer service. There were in-house chefs, cleaning services and several arrangements made by our property manager & concierge. We could not have asked for a better experience and staff to make our Costa Rica trip an unforgettable trip!

My group of 21 family members had an amazing time at Casa De Luz. The kitchen and seating areas were great for the large group. The pool was very nice for the kids to have ‘on-property' supervised fun. The beach with really fun tidal pools, and the beach-side hammocks and chairs were an amazing connection to the Pacific Ocean. I highly recommend Casa De Luz but will point out two things you should be aware of. First, it is a solid mile to Tamarindo or just over a mile to the middle of town. We had a couple cars and it was good to have some transport, but many of us walked it many times. There are some groceries a little closer. Golf carts would be a good option if you don't want to have cars, but book early. Next, we had 6 adult couples and kids, right at max capacity. The sleeping arrangements worked out fine for us, but are a little tricky and for a group that big compromises had to be made regarding privacy. So I recommend digging into the bedroom arrangements for large groups. So in a perfect world it would have been slightly closer to town and slightly simpler sleeping arrangements, but everything else about this house and the week I spent there makes up for these minor imperfections and more. I would book it again for sure.

The house exceeded all of our expectations. We had a group of 14 that were scheduled to come down in 2020 for a destination wedding but had to cancel. Rescheduled for December of 2021 with with the same group. The house worked great for everyone, the pool area was one of the most used areas. If we wanted to stay in for a meal the kitchen had everything that we needed. We rented golf carts which made it easy to go into Tamarindo. The service provided by Rafa Villegas from Stay in Tamarindo was 5 stars. If you are looking for a great place to stay with a bigger group I would highly recommend Casa De Luz

A beautiful well-run home on the beach! This home is big enough to hold a large family with plenty of space for everyone. The care taker and cooks were fabulous. A wonderful place with plenty of activity and relaxing.

We loved our stay at Casa De Luz, it was gorgeous, listening to the ocean, seeing the sunrise and magnificent sunsets in luxury. The Villa is amazing with large bedrooms, beautiful property with a pool, ocean front and spacious common area. Located a few minutes out of Tamarindo we rented golf carts for our stay to go back and forth. Our concierge Rafa went out of his way to meet all our requests and there were a lot! He was so wonderful! We also had the in-house chef Patricia come twice during our stay, one time to cook the mahi-mahi caught that day! We used Stay in Tamarindo for all our transportation and tours. Our entire group took the Waterfall Tour with Eddy who was knowledgable and amazingly accommodating us. The Coffee, Chocolate and Sugarcane tour was a lot of fun too, we ate our way through it! Stay in Tamarindo took care of all our needs. We even had massages at the Villa while listening to the ocean! Could not get better than that!

Casa De Luz is impeccable! The house itself is super spacious, with great separation between rooms. Furnishings and decor are super tasteful / elegant, and amenities abound. The pool area and access to beach are fantastic - incredible sunset views every night. At low tide, the tide pools out front are some of the best I've seen for chilling out and exploring. The support staff quietly attends to the house and guests where needed. Just a well run operation. If you are a surfer, the river mouth break and beach break just down the beach are excellent. At higher tides, you can surf out from past the reef. We are trying to figure out when we are coming back!!!

This house was amazing! We stayed here in March 2020 for spring break. There were 4 families (7 adults, 8 teenage kids) and it was perfect. There were so many places to hang out that we were never on top of each other. The house was beautiful and so clean... the ladies that came every morning cooked us fantastic breakfasts and managed to clean and wash towels without ever getting in anyone's way. The pool, beach and sunsets are as spectacular as every review and the house description say they are. This house is a rare find... we searched a long time for a home that would accommodate our group, was near Tamarindo, and was on the beach with a pool. Playa Langosta was the perfect town to stay in... it is so peaceful and safe, yet is a golf cart ride away from all the action in Tamarindo. And lastly, Aly was the most incredible concierge. She lined up our golf cart rental, dinner reservations, a private cook for an evening, and so much more. She was the key to a stress free vacation for us, since nobody in our group spoke Spanish. Thank you, Aly! We hope to be back soon!

Simply amazing! The spectacular beachfront house makes you want to spend the whole day there. Luckily, Aly the concierge kept us informed since the weeks prior to our arrival, about the many activities available around the area. She booked us an amazing catamaran afternoon, which the whole party loved. Weeks before our arrival, Aly was already suggesting the best plans for our group, asking about arrivals in case they needed to coordinate transportation directly from the airport, etc. We got to the house a few hours before official check-in time; however, Aly was able to let us in so we could settle in. She was worried that the house was not going to be perfectly clean as they normally are when parties check in; however, she always provided us with amazing flexibility which made our stay much easier all around. The rooms, beddings, and house areas in general are very ample, comfortable, and the pool area is simply stunning. It doesn't matter where you've been around the world, you'll find this house stunning. We were 15 people and our stay was extremely comfortable, we could have easily been 20+ comfortably. Harvy the caretaker was always looking to help in anything we needed, and the lady that cooked us breakfast everyday was excellent. She cooked us amazing breakfasts and cleaned the house for the first half of the day. All around an amazing experience. Will be back for sure! We have stayed at Casa de Luz two years in a row and have loved it both times. Just a perfect location and beautiful home. Hope to return many more times to Casa de Luz and the Tamarindo/Playa Langosta area. I consider it my home away from home. The Stay in Tamarindo crew are attentive to every need you have... from excursions to transportation. I can't imagine their service or product being any better than it is. I plan to return year after year and will look forward to working with all of the Stay in Tamarindo crew.

We were so excited for our visit to Casa de Luz, but we were more than excited when we actually arrived. This home is stunning and very comfortable. We are grateful that we were able to spend 4 nights here and we really did not go anywhere or do anything other than eat, relax, swim and rest. We live in Costa Rica, and sometimes we just need a break from home and all of the things that go with living here full time. Casa de Luz was the perfect getaway.
