Casa Descanza

Casa Descanza was like paradise the views were beautiful and the property was a hidden gem. I celebrated my mother’s 70th birthday and she had a wonderful time. Elsa (property manager) and Xiomara (house guest) were the BEST they provided us with everything we needed. I look forward to going back!

Casa Descanza is a wonderful villa overlooking the 1st green of Hacienda Pinilla Golf Club. The daily cook/housekeeper is a game changer. She prepared breakfast each morning with the groceries that we brought. She made the beds, did light wash and fixed our appetizers each afternoon before leaving. The beds are comfortable and the kitchen is great. We spent most of our time around the pool, watching the golfers, grilling fish and looking at the birds including scarlet macaws. The concierge, Elsa, is very responsive and helpful. There are seasonal specials such as a half day fishing trip so be sure to ask. The house is a 10 minute drive to Playa Langosta which is beautiful and not overcrowded.

We had plenty of room and Xiomara is a game changer. She spoiled us with her breakfasts and appetizers. Our concierge Elsa was attentive and ready with suggestions for outside activities.

Booked for my girlfriend 30th Birthday. It was exactly as the description listed on the airbnb. The backyard was best part but overall the entire house was super spacious. The benefit was having a bathroom in each room. Elsa was the one that helped get us setup with everything prior. From booking cars, atvs, massages, which saved a lot of time for us to do research. I would def book here again.

Casa Deacanza was a beautiful villa and luxurious in every sense of the word. Security was top notch and the staff was wonder. Elsa and Xiomara made our stay extremely comfortable. Xiomara made most delicious Costa Rican breakfasts. Elsa was paramount in organizing our transport and tours. Our experience made for the ultimate girl’s trip. Amazing stay ! We appreciated everything: the location, surroundings, villa amenities, luxury, peaceful atmosphere, services from property manager, breakfast and lunch prepared by Xiomara, the "house mom". Everything was perfect. We recommend it to anyone and would definitely come back again.

This “Stay in Tamarindo” estate was absolutely wonderful and the best place to stay for vacation in the Tamarindo area. The place is exactly as pictured and so spacious, even for a group of 12. (Of note, there is actually a small half bathroom on the first floor which is great for the individuals who have the bedroom with no ensuite bathroom) Xiomara was the best ‘house-mom’ for the group! She came from 8-4pm every day to cook our group the most delicious breakfast and did light cleaning in all of the rooms! The best addition to our vacation. Lastly, Elsa was the best concierge! I spent months prior in contact with her planning this group vacation. She had answers to all my questions. Excursions, transportation, golf carts, hiring chefs, pre-stocking food, getting downtown - she handled it all! When we arrived, she was very responsive to any issues/questions and made the vacation seamless. Our group had a fantastic time and hope to be back to visit soon!

Our stay was amazing, I really enjoyed the help Xiomara provides during the day, she makes breakfast for you and help to keep the house tidy which is amazing when you just want to relax for your holidays ! I recommend staying at Casa Descanza 100% !

Second short stay in Descanza for me. I appreciate the changements in the decoration. Good plan to have decided to add a fifth room. It’s comfortable to have the choice between two different terraces. Most of all it’s a pleasure to see Xiomara: she is smiling and seems happy to work in the house she is attentive and sees immediately what must be done.

Casa Descanza is a beautiful home and our family enjoyed our stay. The home is very comfortable, nicely decorated, well-kept and our party of 9 had plenty of room to enjoy our stay. The house mom is a wonderful benefit for this property. She made fantastic breakfasts and kept up with the laundry and cleaning so we had more time to enjoy our vacation.

The house was perfect! It was big enough for all of us to have our own rooms (5 main bedrooms plus a small additional room with a single bed). Internet worked really well, which was important for us as some needed to work while we were there. It was so clean and modern. The outdoor living space with the pool was amazing. We were outside so much! If you got too hot, there was A/C in all of the rooms, so you could control the temperature of each room. Plus the outdoor space had blinds and ceiling fans if it got too sunny or hot. We cooked a few nights but enjoyed exploring the fantastic local restaurants (most of which were an 8-10 minute drive). Elsa, our contact at "Stay in Tamarindo" (who rents the house) was amazing. If there were any problems or questions, she responded extremely quickly. She also organized a couple of day trips for us which took the stress away from trying to do the research ourselves. What we didn't realize when we booked the rental was that there is someone there during the days who tidies the house and also cooks the most fabulous breakfasts (we provided the food). Xiomara was the kindest person and an amazing cook. She was truly an amazing person! She was so quiet that we didn't even realize that she was there. This house was amazing as was our experience with Stay In Tamarindo!

We had a host greet us and run through everything which was very helpful. They were very responsive to our needs. The home is absolutely gorgeous and everyone was extremely comfortable. Couldn’t have asked for a better stay! All amenities worked and hot water was never an issue

I loved my stay in tamarindo it was such an amazing experience for everyone my group our housekeeper was such a sweetheart and the security were very helpful on giving us directions our host Elsa was very helpful and responsive to anything that we needed help with. I will definitely come back :)
