This house is perfect. Clean. Beautiful location. The staff is amazing. The beach club is phenomenal and it’s within walking distance. You won’t find better private beach access than this.

Our family reunion of 13 people truly enjoyed our stay at this home. The property is beautiful. We especially loved the shady pool and the large dining table which we all fit at. We loved spending time together as a family in the home. The beach which was a 2 min walk from the house, was so perfect and serene as was the beach club which was a 7 min walk from the house. We loved having so much private beach access, a private pool club all in addition to the house pool (which we used a ton). The house cleaner crew of 2 were lovely. We didn't need them to cook much for us as we did most of our own cooking but they did make breakfast one morning and it was delicious. They also made fresh guac and ceviche for us one day after we caught a bunch of fish. That was a great treat too. The only issue was we did have 3 nights without AC in one of the 8 rooms. However, the management team worked really hard for 3 days to fix it and ended up taking care of us at the end. The 8 bedrooms are perfect for couples as they are all almost identical with a king bed and private bathroom,. This made it easy for us all to choose a room and no one felt cheated with a smaller bed and no one had to share a bathroom which was great. I loved the suggestions for the spa and private yacht that the concierge, Mariam, recommended too. My son surfed almost everyday and caught the best waves of his life! Overall, we had a great vacation and we all want to go back and stay in the house again.

Home was perfect size for our large group. It a very short walk to a nice beach. Neighborhood seemed very safe behind several gates with security attendants.

We had a wonderful week at Casa Leon. Miriam was extremely helpful and helped us organize everything seamlessly. The house, pool and beach are gorgeous. Our two house moms made the most delicious breakfasts. Can’t wait to come back someday!

Just returned from renting this home. From the start to finish the process of renting, the quality of the home and most importantly was our host, Mariam, she is the best. There were two house keepers there every day to cook us breakfast, fix great cocktails and keep the home clean. We used 6 of the 8 bedrooms, rented golf carts to tour the local area and enjoyed some of the best that Costa Rica has to offer. If you rent there and have the chance to hire chef Sebastian, you won't regret it. We scheduled him for 2 nights but added a third after our first dinner. Our plated dinners were as amazing as any restaurant that we have ever visited. Making it some of the best part while staying at the home and have such fantastic diners. Alan Johnson

My family just stay a week at Casa Leon, the house is very nice !! It can hold a big family, has a huge family room, nice kitchen, nice bedrooms. Has maid services. It was very clean. And the best of all is the location! Walking distance to the beach!

We stayed at Casa Leon for a 50th birthday trip. The house was spectacular for a large group. The location to the beach and Beach Club cannot be better and more convenient. Communication with Mariam for any of our needs both prior and during our trip was prompt and very helpful. We will definitely return when back in Costa Rica.

This was our third family trip to Costa Rica and our second stay in Casa Leon. The house with its eight bedrooms easily accommodates our family of six adults and four children ages 8-13. We added two additional family members on this trip with no problem fitting them in. The home is spacious, well appointed and extremely well maintained. The Wi-Fi signal is powerful and kept us connected when we wanted to be. The beds are very comfortable as well as all the furniture. The kitchen is equipped with every utensil,pot,pan and cooking apparatus you can think of. The maids were at the house every day at 8 to prepare breakfast for the clan….a bountiful repast loaded up with eggs,sausage, pancakes, fresh pineapple,papaya, bananas and mango. After breakfast, they quietly went about cleaning the house and even did our laundry. I have travelled all over the world and stayed in some of the finest hotels on the planet and I have never experienced this level of service. Of course, it didn’t stop with the maid service. The swimming pool and landscaping were maintained seemingly every day. The pool is perfectly located off the back of the house seemingly built right into the jungle. Post our daily surfing safaris the pool was the next stop for parents and kids alike. Casa Leon is located within a gated community which in turn is within the gated and secure Hacienda Pinilla Ranch. The ranch encompasses some 40,000 acres and includes golf,tennis,mountain biking, hiking, surfing and spa facilities as well as a JW Marriott. Hacienda Pinilla is fronted by the pristine beaches of Playa Avellenas and Plays Langosta. The ocean water is in the 80’s and the the waves can accommodate every level of surfer. The Hacienda Pinilla Beach Club is a short walk from Casa Leon and has a great pool, food service and spa. When they say Casa Leon is steps from the beach….they are not kidding. We rented two golf carts to shuttle kids, surf boards, ice chests and beach chairs to the beach every day; but, often we would walk the 100 yards or so to the beach and post up for a morning walk, surf session, shell collecting or to catch a spectacular evening sunset. Although our stay at Casa Leon was during the shoulder period of the rainy season. The rain was short, intermittent and a refreshing change from the sun. I could go on about the proximity of Casa Leon to Tamarindo and its beaches and restaurants, zip lining through the jungle, horseback riding et al; but, I will close this review with a simple statement….Costa Rica, Hacienda Pinilla, Casa Leon and StayTamarindo…….Simply the “ Best Ever”.

House is perfect for a large group of friends or family; beautiful and spacious . The house is conveniently located to the beach club. Delma and Meredith cook the best breakfasts. Mariam will help you plan and coordinate anything you need. She is so responsive and accommodating.

My family and I had an amazing stay at casa Leon. Everything was just perfect ! Our house moms Delma and Mary were outstanding ! Elsa our house manager was also amazing ! We had a guest total of 12 people and there was more than enough space . I would recommend to everyone

I cannot say enough wonderful things about our weeklong stay at Casa Leon. The house is gorgeous! The pool was magnificent. The kitchen had everything we could’ve wanted. The spacious bedrooms were perfect for our 2 families. And we didn’t even use all the bedrooms! There was room for one, perhaps two more families. The house is a 2 minute walk to the beach and a 5 minute walk to the Hacienda Pinilla Beach Club. Delma and Mary came every morning to cook us the most delicious breakfasts and then were at the house cleaning, doing laundry and helping out with anything we needed into the late afternoon. They could not have been nicer or more accommodating. They were both fantastic. Thank you Delma and Mary!! And thank you to Elsa for helping coordinate everything during our stay! From the activities suggestions to the restaurant recommendations to the organization of all of our transportation….it would not have been the same vacation without Elsa’s help. We are sincerely grateful. I HIGHLY recommend this house for your next vacation!

Casa Leon was the perfect house for our 3 families that love to surf! The house was walking distance to great surf breaks! The cleaning staff and Mariam, our Concierge Manager made our stay absolutely enjoyable! This is a stunning house that perfectly fit 13 people! We are definitely coming back again!!!

Thanks to Covid, our long awaited family trip to Costa Rica was postponed 2.5 years. As frustrating as it was the wait was more than worth it! Casa Leon is located not far from Tamarindo for which we were grateful as it was full of American tourists. Located in the Hacienda Pinilla gated community, the home is beautiful and the kitchen was amazing! My grandchildren as well as the adults spent many fun-filled hours in the pool or simply relaxing under the large covered patio. We also enjoyed walking the lovely sandy beach along the ocean. The property management company was also great to work with. Highly recommend!

Planning a trip out of the country is always a learning experience but with the help of Mariam, I was able to rest assured that everything was taken care of. The house, service & experiences are all amazing!! The HOUSE: Everything was exactly as described and depicted in the pictures online. I actually reserved Casa Leon through Airbnb which made me feel comfortable knowing the credit card was secure. Although, after working with Mariam, I completely trust her and the company that manages this house. The amenities at Casa Leon include everything you need. The kitchen was well stocked including basic spices, oil, soap, paper towels & dish towels. The bathrooms had all the toilet paper, soap & towels we needed. They even provided pool/beach towels. Another bonus is that EVERY bedroom has a safe to lock your valuables away..The SERVICE: Before we even arrived, Mariam assisted in all the planning needs on anything including renting a golf cart, transportation from the airport (including a stop at the market), dinner reservations, excursions & chef services. I did not realize the rental included daily housekeeping. This was really nice although I don’t think necessary every day. You do have the option of asking them not to come every day.  Another bonus of housekeeping is they will cook breakfast if you provide the food. Mariam had explained that to me so I made sure to plan for a nice breakfast on the days we were not leaving early for an adventure!. As much of a planner as I am, I did leave some things to chance to be able to make decisions once we arrived. Mariam was always in contact via text or call (they have a US phone number) if we needed to add a reservation somewhere or needed assistance with anything. Having a house adds so much more to a vacation than just a hotel room. We will keep Costa Rica on our vacation list and definitely look at all of the house that Stay In Tamarindo manages when returning!
