Tamarindo Snorkeling


If you want to go snorkeling, you should definitely try on the Tamarindo and surrounding areas, visit private bays and discover beautiful reefs with a variety of marine life, look for dolphins, whales, manta rays, turtles puffer fish, trigger fish, octopus, star fish, lots of hard coral and schooling fish and many others. Local guides will take you to unspoiled Tamarindo snorkeling destinations. There are several excellent snorkel spots within a short boat ride. The area provides you with the best places to go snorkeling. Because of its many islands, caves, reefs, and rocks which are located on the coast, this place is perfect to explore the underwater world. Great sites for beginners and experienced swimmers.

The Tamarindo Snorkeling tours consist of a fleet of two fast motorboats equipped for fast travelling to pristine hidden coves where we take you out on a real snorkel adventure.





Our boats are:

“Suave” a 27ff custom built launch with twin Yamaha 4 stroke 80hp outboards, a large T-Top for shade. Capacity for up to 10 snorkelers.
Equipment on board: Lite vests & snorkel gear for all passengers, First aid kit. VHF radio, cell phone, coolers with bottled water, ice, soft drinks and cookies.

“Aquatica” a 36ft custom built motorboat with twin Evinrude E-TEC 200HP outboards, completely shaded. Capacity for up to 20 snorkelers.
Equipment on board: Life vests & snorkel gear for all passengers, a toilet , First aid kit, VHF radio, cell phone, coolers with bottled water, ice, soft drinks and cookies.

Departure from our meeting spot on the beach: 8.30a.m.

Snorkel Locations: two different spots in between Playa Tamarindo and Playa Conchal. Playa Carbon, Playa Condos, Bahia Huevos, Playa Minas, Bahia de los Piratas, Playa Conchal.

The Locations are chosen by the captain considering which locations offer the best visibility and calm waters for the day.
What to bring: swimwear, beach towel, sunglasses, sunscreen, camera, hat, light foot-wear, t-shirt, shorts or sarong.

What you may expect: The fastest boat ride to two different snorkel locations, bilingual or multi-lingual guides that will actually go in the water with you to give you instructions and to point out marine life.

Depending the season you might see dolphins on the way out or back to the bay, sea turtles, whales (from December until March and occasionally during the months of July and August) Manta rays, eagle and devil rays, puffer fish, parrot fish, octopus and much more…
